Morf Providers
A Morf provider is a record of an actual provider sourced from a third-party scheduling service (currently supporting both Healthie and Acuity).
Morf also allow you to store additional information about each provider, such as images, names, short bios, long bios, and more, as detailed below.
You can see a list of all of your providers in the Morf dashboard by clicking on the providers icon in the left side nav.
You can view more details about a specific provider by clicking on the table row. This will open a scrollable sidebar on the right side with the provider’s complete details.
Add a new provider
To add a new provider, click the + Provider button. This will open a modal where you can enter the provider’s details. Fields marked with an asterisk (*) in red are required, and the Save button will remain disabled until all mandatory fields are completed correctly.
The following fields are available for entering provider details:
Image URL
- The URL of the image associated with the provider. It should point directly to the image file and must be a valid URL starting with “https://”.Name
- The full name of the provider. This will be displayed on the provider’s profile and in the list of providers.Qualifications
- A list of the provider’s professional qualifications or licenses (e.g., MD, NP, LCSW). If the specific qualification is not listed in the dropdown, please inform us, and we will add it.Ordering index
- This number determines the order in which the provider appears in the list view. A higher index number places the provider at the top of the list. Ordering index doesn’t have to be unique, you may duplicate order values so that groups of providers always appear higher in the displayed provider scheduling availability selection view your customers see. By default, the system automatically assigns an index value that is one higher than the last provider listed.Enable for scheduling
- This field determines whether the provider is available for scheduling appointments through the system. By default, this option is set to true, which means the provider is available for scheduling and will be visible to users when they try to book appointments.Provider ID type
- This refers to the specific scheduling service the provider uses.Provider ID
- The unique ID for the provider in the scheduling service. If the ID is not valid, you will be not be able to save the provider.Short bio
- A brief biography of the provider (max 200 characters). This will be displayed alongside the provider’s details in the provider list on the scheduling page.States
- A list of the U.S. states in which the provider is licensed to practice. This helps users filter and select providers based on location.Insurance
- A list of insurance plans accepted by the provider. This helps users filter and select providers based on insurance plans.Specialties
- A list of provider’s areas of expertise. This helps users filter and select providers based on specialties.Internal Tags
- A list of custom tags used to categorize providers (e.g., “new”, “weekend availability”, “gender preference”).Bio
- The long biography for the provider, typically a more detailed description of their background, experience, and areas of expertise. You can includeHTML
formatting here, which will be preserved and displayed correctly. This will appear on the provider’s profile page for users who want more in-depth information.
Update an existing provider
To edit an existing provider, click on the Edit icon. This will open a modal similar to the one used for adding a provider, with the same fields. You can update any field as needed and then click Save to apply the changes.
Delete an existing provider
To delete an existing provider, click on the Delete icon. A confirmation modal will appear where you need to confirm the deletion. Once deleted, the action can not be reversed.
Filter providers
To filter the providers, use the filter section at the top of the table. You can filter using one of the three options below:
Search by Name
- You can filter providers by searching for their name.
Filter by Provider ID
- You can filter providers using their unique provider ID.
Filter by State, Insurance, Specialties, Internal Tags
- You can filter providers by any combination of state, insurance, specialties, or internal tags.

Can I limit accepted provider insurances to specific states?
Yes, you can limit the accepted provider insurances to specific states using the gear icon. This opens a modal where you can further customize the insurance policy to be accepted in one or more specific states. By default, insurances are accepted in all states.
